Cat Maher

Cat Maher grew up in Newtown, Connecticut.  In high school, Cat broke the career scoring record for girls’ varsity basketball and also broke seven course records during cross country.  Cat attended Trinity College, where she majored in Economics and was a four-year starter on the women’s basketball team.  Cat graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Trinity in 2007 and moved up to Boston where she landed at job at Beaver Country Day School.  She is now in her third year at BCDS as Assistant Athletic Director, and she is also the assistant coach for the girls’ varsity basketball team and head coach for the middle school cross country team.  Cat has been running regularly since college with her favorite running buddy, her dog Nash.  It has always been Cat's goal to run a marathon, and she feels lucky to have been accepted onto the Boston Partners Marathon Team.  She is excited to be raising money for students in the Boston area, and she plans on staying connected to the organization even after the Marathon is over.  This will be Cat's first marathon and her first major fundraising effort.
