OUR PARTNERS

Boston Partners in Education receives support from many different partners who help us carry out our mission of enriching the academic experiences of Boston's public school students. We would especially like to acknowledge our corporate and private foundation supporters, as well as our individual donors, whose contributions allow us to support student advancement and the work of Boston's public school teachers.

Volunteers:
Of course, we wouldn’t be where we are today without the commitment of our dedicated academic mentors, who come from all walks of life. Among them are teachers, parents, engineers, graduate students, medical doctors, professors, and corporate and nonprofit professionals. We are proud of the great work our volunteers do in Boston's public schools, and we thank them for their generous contribution of time and knowledge that has inspired and helped so many students over the years.

Corporate and Nonprofit Partnerships:
Boston Partners in Education has created academic mentoring programs that connect our city's corporate and academic communities by bringing professionals from area businesses into the classroom. During FY06, more than 31 area companies and universities partnered with us to bring quality education assistance to elementary and middle school students.

Also in FY06, we began our collaboration with fellow school volunteer organization, Generations Incorporated. This partnership led to collaboring on the Math & Literacy Project to make an even greater impact on elementary students in Dorchester and Roxbury.

Boston Public Schools:
Since our inception in 1966, Boston Partners in Education has been partnering with the Boston Public Schools, providing teachers and administrators with a place to come to for help in the classroom. Working in direct relation to the current curriculum to ensure the greatest impact for students, Boston Partners has created the process and guidelines for placing and managing volunteers within BPS. For years, the school system has contracted our organization to recruit, train, place and support volunteers. As the city welcomes our new school superintendent, Boston Partners looks forward to strengthening this partnership to better serve the students of Boston.
